Business registration and licence extensions

Due to the impact COVID-19 has had on the hospitality and skin penetration industry, Council determined to waiver renewal fees for the registration of food businesses and public health risk activities for the 2020/21 financial year. This means, for these existing Devonport businesses, when you reregister in November 2020 you will not be required to pay a fee.

To ensure clarity for all types of registration/licence holders in the Devonport area, details are provided below:

Food Businesses

  • Food business registrations (including mobile food vans) due to expire on 30 June 2020 are automatically extended until 31 December 2020. All existing food businesses have now been emailed a link to complete the renewal application online. There will be no fees for the 2020/2021 period.

Public Health Risk Activities

  • Tattooing and piercing business registrations due to expire on 30 June 2020 were automatically extended until 27 November 2020. All existing businesses have now been emailed a link to complete the renewal application online. There will be no fees for the 2020/2021 period.
  • Tattooing and piercing operator licences due to expire on 30 June 2020 were automatically extended until 27 November 2020. All existing licenced operators have now been emailed a link to complete the public health risk operator application online. There will be no fees for the 2020/2021 period.
