Customer Service & Project Officer

This full-time position will  provide support to the Bass Strait Maritime Centre maintaining administration, security, customer service, volunteer management, retail coordination and the promotion of the Centre and its programs and events. This unique role will see you assist the Bass Strait Maritime Centre Coordinator develop a quality visitor program, including an annual exhibition program, calendar of public programs and special projects including devising and implementing creative and educational public programs to engage with the community and education sector.

Design Officer;  or Engineering and Development Officer

Only one of these vacancies will be filled. 

The Design Officer will undertake investigation and design tasks required for the delivery of capital and operational projects, working within established practices and procedures in a motivated and productive team.

Or is your experience more aligned to the position of Engineering and Development Officer? 

The Engineering and Development Officer will ensure the effective and efficient processing of the engineering component of development, subdivision and building applications and contribute to the efficient operational performance and future infrastructure planning needs of Council.

Waste Management Serviceperson

We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and team orientated person to assist in the delivery of Council’s waste management services.  Principal duties include but not limited to the operation of Council’s waste management collection trucks, providing high level of customer service at the waste transfer gate including weighbridge operations, receipting payments and recording weights of vehicles, maintenance duties of grounds and operation of other relevant plant and equipment including loaders, backhoes and small and large sweepers.  A medium rigid licence is an essential requirement of this position.
