Kiah Place Playground

Kiah Place Playground was first developed in the 1970’s after resident Helen Nibbs started a petition to beautify the Place in 1971.

The playground was updated in 1998 with thanks to funding from Australia day and Arts Tasmania. Instigated again by Helen Nibbs with the help of Shirley Jago and June Bye. The community driven beautification project now also included a walking track, a stone wall with tiles made by local children and was given a new name. Kangaloo Park was the name suggested by six year old Nathan Cullen as part of a park naming competition.

In 2021 as part of a capital works project the updated playground equipment was  installed.
