Seniors Week

Seniors Week (17-23 October) is an opportunity for Tasmanians of all ages to join together and celebrate the valuable contributions of older people within our community.
If your Community group or Service Club would like to get involved pleasesubmit an Expression of Interest by 16 September 2022.

Volunteering

Seniors Card

The Tasmanian Government provides a card giving business and government savings to seniors. This is called the Seniors Card. Almost 600 businesses and services support the Seniors Card Program, offering a diverse range of savings on products and services to Senior Card holders throughout Tasmania. The Seniors Card can bring savings to seniors on the following types of products and services:

  • Building & Renovation Supplies
  • Clothing & Accessories
  • Dining Out
  • Dry Cleaning & Laundry Services
  • Energy/Electricity

The Seniors Card is provided free to all Tasmanian residents, 60 years of age and over, and who are not in paid employment of more than 20 hours per week.  Contact Seniors Card at https://www.communities.tas.gov.au/csr/programs_and_services/seniors_card or phone them on 1300 13 55 13.
