Rooke Street Mall
Rooke Street Mall provides access to hundreds of shoppers and CBD workers each day. There are 3 approved busking or promotional activity locations (see map below). No food stalls or BBQs are permitted in the Mall.
Market Square is within the paranaple precinct, opposite Market Square Pavilion, and between the CBD multi-storey car park, paranaple centre and paranaple arts centre (see map below).
To apply for a busking permit, or to undertake a raffle, promotion or exhibition in Mall or Market Square you will need to complete an application form. If you are wanting to book the space for an event, an Event Application may be required. Please contact our Events Department on 03 6424 0511 or visit Planning a Community Event for more information.
Please note; that you will be required to have at least $20 million public liability insurance if using equipment, such as display stands, tables and chairs.
