It is often said that the Egyptian culture was obsessed with death. But these ancient people loved life. They accepted the inevitability of death and the need to prepare for it.
The talk will focus on the Scribe, Ani. We will discuss his preparation for death, the rituals undertaken after his death, and the difficulties involved in his journey.
