Devonport City Council offers a range of centres where volunteers can give their time and assistance including:

Work Experience

The Devonport City Council views work experience as an opportunity to provide real life experiences that cannot be gained in the classroom.  Therefore, we aim to support schools/training facilities with provision of work experience whenever possible.

If you are a teacher making work experience arrangements, providing us with adequate notice and early discussion of your requirements will assist us in finding suitable work.  Please put your request in writing and address to:

If you are a student interested in gaining work experience with the Devonport City Council, please discuss this with your teacher, as all work experience must be organised through your school.  We cannot make direct arrangements with students.

If you are not a student, we regret that we cannot provide work experience that is not school-based due to legislative and insurance limitations.
