Maritime Careers and Study Talk

The Bass Strait Maritime Centre will be hosting an information session about careers and study options with the Australian Maritime College (AMC), on Tuesday 27 July.

This talk is aimed at Year 10-12 students who may be considering a career in the maritime industry, or anyone who is looking at a career change.

Academic Damon Howe and current student Will Geysing will be speaking about current courses and learning opportunities available at the Launceston based college and the specialist equipment and training vessels the college operates.

The AMC is globally recognised as a centre for excellence, offering professional teaching and learning facilities which are used by Defence, Industry and Government
organisations.

The college offers courses in Maritime Engineering and Hydrodynamics; Business and International Logistics; Ocean and Coastal Seafaring.
