International Women’s Day
Devonport City Council will once again celebrate International Women’s Day with Diamonds of Devonport.
Since its inception in 2012, Diamonds of Devonport have recognised the efforts of more than 230 women who live or work within our community.
Nominations are now open and will be accepted in the following categories:
- Personal Achievement
- Business Achievement
- Community Achievement
- Young Achiever (under 30 years)
The Diamonds of Devonport finalists will be acknowledged at a cocktail event at 6pm on Thursday, 11 March.
This year’s Ambassador for Diamonds of Devonport is well-know Devonport identity Sylvia Sayers.
Devonport Mayor Annette Rockliff acknowledged Sylvia as a great example of giving back to community for over 30 years.
Please submit your Diamonds of Devonport nominations by 5pm Wednesday, 3 February 2021 via Council’s website link here.
A week-long program of events will be released on Monday, 15 February and tickets for all events will be available via this page, stay tuned.
The 2020 cocktail party was held Thursday 12 March, 6pm at the paranaple convention centre.
Diamonds, family friends and community supporters heard from Diamonds Event Patron Mayor Annette Rockliff, the 2020 Ambassador Margaret Fay and were entertained by Lasca Dry.
It was a fantastic night celebrating the achievements of local women within our community.
