2024 Ambassador

Julie Foster DOD 24

Julie Foster

Born in Queenstown, Julie’s family relocated to Devonport on her 5th birthday. She attended Our Lady of Lourdes and Devonport High School before joining the workforce at the age of 15.

Over the years, Julie built a successful career in the financial sector, steadily advancing to managerial, sales and marketing roles within various corporate financial institutions. In the later stages of her professional journey, she completed a Certificate of Business at UTAS and ventured into entrepreneurship and established her own business consulting agency.

In addition to her career achievements, Julie is a co-owner (alongside her husband Wayne and daughter Courtney) of well-established local retail surf store, Passport Surf.  While enjoying a semi-retired status, Julie continues to contribute behind-the-scenes support to the family business.

Julie is the proud mother of James and Courtney and her three stepchildren, Andrea, Todd and Damien and very proud Nana Julie to her eight grandchildren.

2024 Diamonds of Devonport Event

The nominees for Diamonds of Devonport 2024 will be acknowledged at an event to be held on Friday, 8 March at the paranaple convention centre.

Council will once again be collecting donations for the Share the Dignity March drive. We encourage you to drop off donations to Council’s Customer Service Counter (Level 2, paranaple centre) or the Bass Strait Maritime Centre (6 Gloucester Ave) during the month of March.

The 2020 cocktail party was held Thursday 12 March, 6pm at the paranaple convention centre.

Diamonds, family friends and community supporters heard from Diamonds Event Patron Mayor Annette Rockliff, the 2020 Ambassador Margaret Fay and were entertained by Lasca Dry.

It was a fantastic night celebrating the achievements of local women within our community.
