Born in Queenstown, Julie’s family relocated to Devonport on her 5th birthday. She attended Our Lady of Lourdes and Devonport High School before joining the workforce at the age of 15.
Over the years, Julie built a successful career in the financial sector, steadily advancing to managerial, sales and marketing roles within various corporate financial institutions. In the later stages of her professional journey, she completed a Certificate of Business at UTAS and ventured into entrepreneurship and established her own business consulting agency.
In addition to her career achievements, Julie is a co-owner (alongside her husband Wayne and daughter Courtney) of well-established local retail surf store, Passport Surf. While enjoying a semi-retired status, Julie continues to contribute behind-the-scenes support to the family business.
Julie is the proud mother of James and Courtney and her three stepchildren, Andrea, Todd and Damien and very proud Nana Julie to her eight grandchildren.
