Schools Triathlon Challenge

The STC has been developed to help promote active and healthy lifestyle choices to school students. The event aims to get students involved who do not play regular sport or make school rep teams to compete at interschool swimming, cross country, or athletics carnivals, however, it also picks up all the naturally sporty students too.

It has been extremely successful at doing this and is now the largest lifestyle event for schools in Tasmania with 80 schools and 1985 students participating at Devonport in 2019. It has become a 4th interschool carnival for schools and is on all school sporting association calendars for government, private and catholic schools state-wide.

This event is now state-wide, (including the Devonport STC), and is the largest children’s Triathlon in Australia and the only school-based Triathlon of its scale in Australia. It also ranks as one of the largest Triathlon Events in Australia full stop.

The STC involves students completing a Triathlon (Swim / Bike / Run) either as an individual (where they do it all themselves) or in a team of 2 or 3 people (where one person completes a leg each). They can also complete both an individual and team event on the same day

If you would like to volunteer on any of the above days please contact us.

All assistance is greatly appreciated.
