Across Tasmania, Foster Carers are needed. People who are willing and able to offer long-term stable homes, short-term emergency care or weekend respite care for children, teenagers or siblings who are unable to live safely with their birth family.

Life without Barriers welcome carers of any gender, sexuality and culture. You can be single or partnered, working or retired, with or without children of your own. To become a Foster Carer, your ability to care for and nurture a child is what really matters.

Some experience with children who have complex needs due to trauma or disability is desirable, but not essential. We provide full training, 24/7 support and financial assistance to help cover the cost of providing care.
