Council has been working through its COVID-19 response plans daily, as new information and advice is received. The priority is the health and safety of staff, customers and community during these uncertain times and we are seeking to take some commonsense measures to help limit the impact and disruption to services.
At present, Council’s offices remain open to the general public, although this is being assessed on a day-to-day basis, according to advice from the relevant health authorities and Australian Government.
With health authorities calling for ‘transmission reduction measures’, such as limiting face-to-face meetings, we encourage members of the community to access Council services online or via phone where possible. Council forms and information can be accessed on this website.
As this is an evolving situation, please understand that Council staff may not always be available for face-to-face meetings.
It is Council’s priority to continue to provide essential community services such as waste collection in coming weeks and months. However, there may be unavoidable delays and disruptions to some services going forward.
Council will continue to update its advice to customers and the community via the website, social media and Mayor’s Messages.
