Cradle Coast Funding Finder
Cradle Coast Authority have created a Funding Finder [1] to help you find available grants and register to receive updates when new grants become available.
Business Tasmania
Grants previously administered through Department of State Growth have now closed. There is other free support that you can access from the Tasmanian Government, find out more here [2].

Devonport City Council COVID-19 Impact Assistance Grants
Devonport City Council acknowledges that a number of local community and sporting organisations within the Devonport local government area have been financially impacted by the pandemic and has allocated funds to financially assist those impacted.

2020 Supplementary Volunteer Grants – Building Resilient Communities
The program will provide grants of up to $5000 to community organisations to support volunteers and increase volunteering across Tasmania. Volunteering Tasmania, will be administering the program on behalf of the Department of Social Services.
This funding round has a particular focus on assisting organisations to re-engage volunteers and adapt their practices to support volunteer safety in relation to Covid-19.

COVID-19 Sport and Recreation Grants Program
Now open to Tasmanian sport and recreation clubs: COVID-19 Sport and Recreation Grants Program Tranche 2.
Up to $3,000 is available per organisation. Funding will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, to assist in ensuring a safe return to play under the organisation’s COVID-19 Safety or Return to Play plan.
Clubs must be affiliated to a State/National Sporting Organisation recognised by Sport Australia or affiliated to an organisation funded as a State Active Recreation Provider (SARP) under Communities, Sport and Recreation’s State Sport and Recreation Grants Program.

Applications will close on Monday, 31 August 2020 at 5.00 pm or when program funds are exhausted.

Playing Field Grants Program
This program is designed to assist the sport and recreation sector recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and support the building and construction industry and local jobs.
Improving the Playing Field offers financial assistance to upgrade amenities at sporting facilities around Tasmania, allowing them to cater for all participants. There is $10 million available to be distributed across a small and large grants round, with $5 million allocated each year in 2020-21 and in 2021-22.
Small Grants Program $25,000 – $50,000 closes on Friday, 4 September 2020, 12 noon
Large Grants Program $50,001 – $250,000 closes on Friday, 23 October 2020, 12 noon

Ticket to Play
The Tasmanian Government’s Ticket to Play sports voucher program in 2020. The new and improved Ticket to Play program opened on 1 July 2020.
Under the 2020-21 program, each eligible child can receive two vouchers worth up to $100 each – even if they had a voucher during the coronavirus period (between January and June 2020).

Various – The Australia Council has developed a new grants model which will support a diverse range of artists, artistic practice, organisations and arts activity.
Blackspot Program [19]
The Blackspot Program makes an important contribution to reducing the national road toll by targeting those road locations where crashes are occurring.
Employment Assistance Fund [20]
The Employment Assistance Fund provides financial assistance for the purchase of a range of work related modifications and services to assist people with disability and mental health conditions.
Global Fund for Women [21]
The Global Fund for Women invests in women’s groups that advance the human rights of women and girls. The focus is on three key areas; Zero Violence, Economic & Political Empowerment, and Sexual & Reproductive Health & Rights.
Tasmanian Institute of Sport – NATIONAL REPRESENTATIVES FUND – On-going [22]
A sports assistance scheme provided by the Government of Tasmania to cover the additional cost to Tasmanian Athletes and Coaches competing at a Junior or Open Competition level to travel with an international team competing overseas.
Mantana Foundation for Young People [23]
The Mantana Foundation for Young People provides assistance to young persons from disadvantaged or marginalized backgrounds. The focus is on providing programs that target school retention and increased educational achievement, employment skills development and career pathways, and social and community connectedness, together with services in geographical areas where funding is difficult to source.
New Enterprise Incentive Scheme (NEIS) [24]
Provides accredited small business training, business advice, and mentoring for the first year of business operations for those that are eligible who are interested in starting up and running a small business..
Parliament and Civics Education Rebate (PACER) [25]
The Parliament and Civics Education Rebate (PACER) provides a subsidy for schools travelling more than 150 kilometres to visit the national capital as part of a civics and citizenship education excursion.
Screen Tasmania [26]
Screen Tasmania provides funding to support a number of development projects from a variety of genres related to the small and large screen and also to different stages of writing. Applications can be made to a number of funds; Television Development Fund, Documentary Signature Fund, Feature Film Fund, and the New Writers fund.
Sidney Myer Fund and The Myer Foundation – various [27]
Sunsuper Dreams [28]
The program offers a $150,000 annual grant pool. There are four rounds a year and grants are awarded to finalists and winners in each round. At the end of the year, the four round winners compete for the grand final grants totalling $70,000.
Telstra’s Disability Equipment Program [29]
Telstra’s Disability Program offers a range of products to assist its customers who have difficulty accessing standard telephone services.
The Aboriginal Benefits Foundation [30]
The Foundation provides grants to support projects that assist both individuals and Aboriginal communities in advancing the aims of the Foundation. The current focus is directed toward Aboriginal art and/or artists by supporting arts, health and cultural projects.
Transition to Independent Living Allowance (TILA) [31]
The Transition to Independent Living Allowance (TILA) in a one-off government payment for young people aged between 15 – 25. It provides a financial contribution of $1,500 to assist young people with transitioning to independent living.
Rural Business Tasmania [32] – Note: not a grant funding opportunity, however this service may be of interest to your organisation.
Rural Business Tasmania offers a suite of administration, financial and business management support services.
