Project Name:                    Wright Street renewal – Tarleton Street to John Street

Proposed Status:               Construct in 2020/21

Previous Status:                 Constrcut in 2022/23 (brought forward two years)

Proposed Budget:              $400,000

Project Objective:              Asset renewal

Project Justification:        The pavement, seal and kerb assets are in poor condition and require renewal.  Wright Street is a critical transport link between the Port of Devonport and the Bass Highway

Project Scope:                      It is proposed to renew the kerb on each side of the road, reconstruct the pavement and reseal the road. Stormwater and subsurface drainage improvements will be required.  Allowance for site constraints including heavy traffic volume and the existing retaining wall have been included

Bluff Headland – Handrail replacement and extension

The southern part of the path has a handrail, but a risk assessment has recommended that the handrail be extended to reduce the risk of falls. In addition, the existing handrail is approaching end of life and should be renewed at the same time.
