Proposed Budget:              $75,000 funded by grant from Drought Impact Program

Project objective:              Asset addition

Project justification:       As identified in the Highfield Park Master Plan adopted in April 2018, this action is to install basic shelter with single electric barbecue and water supply for cleaning purpose.  This facility will increase the utilisation of the park by local families and provides an area for food preparation for those without other options.

Project scope:                   Construct barbecue shelter with single electric barbecue and water supply in the eastern part of the park

The southern part of the path has a handrail, but a risk assessment has recommended that the handrail be extended to reduce the risk of falls. In addition, the existing handrail is approaching end of life and should be renewed at the same time.
