Council uses a range of plans and strategies to help guide decision making and provide services for the community. Developed incorporating extensive input from the public, these documents form the foundations on which the organisation operates.
Community feedback is often sought on plans and strategies prior to their endorsement by Council. Residents and ratepayers are encouraged to have their say on documents currently on exhibition [1].
The Strategic Plan 2009-2030 [2]outlines how Council plans to achieve its vision for Devonport to become a thriving and welcoming regional City living lightly by river and sea.
It was developed in conjunction with Council, the community and key stakeholders and the last review occurred following the October 2022 Local Government elections.
The next review will begin following the next Local Government elections in October 2026.
