Position Purpose:

Devonport City Council is seeking a part-time Recreation Officer to assist in the operation of the Devonport Recreation Centre within our Community Services Department.  The role is 13 hours per week, days and hours will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

The Devonport Recreation Centre is a Council owned and operated multi-use sporting facility.

The Recreation Officer will be required to prepare facilities for group use, and facilitate a range of group activities. Well developed interpersonal skills are essential for liaising with sporting clubs, user groups and consumers.

Enthusiasm for the sport and recreation industry is imperative, and would be positively supported by the knowledge and drive to support future sporting initiatives at the centre.
