Under the Dog Control Act 2000 you are required to apply for a Kennel Licence if you intend to keep:
You can apply for a Kennel Licence by completing an Application for Kennel Licence, submitting a Notice of Intention to Apply for a Kennel Licence form to a recognised local daily newspaper and paying the prescribed fee.
Twenty-eight days after a Notice of Intention to Apply for a Kennel Licence has been advertised, Council will conduct an inspection of the property and review any objections and complaints received.
Should all areas have been addressed satisfactorily, including payment of the prescribed fee, a Kennel Licence will then be issued.
