Planning Authority Committee

The Planning Authority Committee meets on an ‘as required’ basis and makes recommendations to the Council on planning and development application matters in accordance with Section 23 of the Local Government Act 1993.

Councillor representatives on the Planning Authority Committee are:

• Councillor Damien Viney          

The purpose of the Planning Authority Committee is to assess only those discretionary planning permit applications, where either a representation has been received, or where the application is recommended for refusal.

Where planning applications for significant developments are received, the General Manager may decide to refer these planning to the full Planning Authority (Council) for determination.

The next meeting date of Planning Authority Committee will be listed below, when known.  All Planning Authority Committee meetings will be held in the Aberdeen Room, level two, paranaple centre, 137 Rooke Street, Devonport and will be open to the public.
