Street Lighting Requests

Faulty Street Lights

TasNetworks operates and maintains the street lighting system throughout Tasmania on behalf of councils and other government road authorities, including arranging the replacement of bulbs when required.

Street light faults may include a light not operating, reduced light output over time, or damage (including vandalism). In some circumstances, a light may remain on during daylight hours due to a switching fault.

All street light faults should be reported directly to TasNetworks on 132 004 or via this link

Devonport City Council is committed to to providing effective street lighting to ensure our roads and public spaces are safe and accessible for the community.

Please report to Council any:

  • street lighting enquires;
  • new lighting requests; visibility concerns or
  • vegetation obstructions; upgrade of existing lighting infrastructure
