Building Maintenance & Street / Park Furniture

Our public buildings, parks, and streetscapes feature numerous assets for the community to use and enjoy. Your assistance in reporting maintenance issues is crucial for helping us keep these facilities and amenities safe, clean, and in good working order.

For Urgent Public Safety Hazards

If you encounter an issue that poses an immediate and significant risk to public safety, please do not use the online form. Call Council immediately on (03) 6424 0511. This number is monitored 24/7 for emergencies.

Urgent hazards include:

  • Exposed electrical wiring or a fallen light pole.
  • A major water leak causing flooding or a slippery surface.
  • A shattered glass panel in a bus shelter or building.
  • A dangerously broken piece of furniture with sharp edges.
  • A fallen tree branch obstructing a main path or resting on a building.

For all non-urgent maintenance requests, please see the categories below.

Council Building Maintenance

This is for reporting general maintenance and repair issues for the structure and fixtures of Council-owned buildings (e.g., public toilets, community halls, sporting pavilions).

  • Examples: Broken doors or windows, faulty lights or taps, minor plumbing issues, external graffiti, or damage to walls, floors, and other fixtures.

Street & Park Furniture

This is for reporting damage, graffiti, or other issues with public furniture and amenities located in parks, reserves, and along streets.

  • Examples: Damaged benches, picnic tables, or bus shelters; overflowing or broken public bins; faulty drinking fountains; public BBQs that are not working or require cleaning.

Lodge a Maintenance Request

When completing your report, please provide a precise location for the issue. The more specific your description (e.g., "The picnic table closest to the children's playground at Nixon Street Reserve is broken"), the faster our maintenance crews can find and resolve the problem. Uploading a photo is also extremely helpful.
