50-plus years ratepayer luncheon

Devonport City Council will once again host a luncheon for residents who have been ratepayers in the City for more than 50 years.

This will be the sixth year Council has hosted the event, which forms part of a week-long series of events to celebrate Seniors Week.

The luncheon will be held in the paranaple convention centre, Level 3, 137 Rooke Street Devonport, on Monday 11 October, from 12:00pm – 1:30pm.

Registrations are essential.  Eligible residents can book to attend by phoning 6424 0511 or via email to [email protected].  Bookings are required by 4 October for planning purposes.

Devonport Mayor Annette Rockliff said the luncheon is a great way for Council to acknowledge and honour those long-term ratepayers, and it is always a well-supported event.

“Seniors Week is a particularly wonderful time in Devonport, and we always look forward to seeing Seniors out and about meeting new and old friends,” said Cr Rockliff.

Seniors Week will be celebrated this year from Monday 11 – Sunday 17 October with the theme “friendship” and tagline “discover. imagine. together”. The full calendar of community run Seniors Week events will be released at the beginning of October.
