The Waste Management Services that the Devonport City Council provides to the community aim to meet the community's needs for a sustainable environment. Devonport City Council Waste Management Services include:

  • Domestic Refuse Collection
  • Commercial Refuse Collection
  • Domestic Recycling Collection
  • Street Sweeping
  • Transfer Station:
    • Landfill Disposal
    • Recycling Disposal
    • Resource Recovery

If you have any problems or require further information relating to Council's Waste Management Services, for example:

  • wheelie bin not collected;
  • lost or damaged wheelie bin;
  • difficulty in using a wheelie bin due to site difficulties;
  • or an aspect of Council's Waste Management Services.

Waste Management Strategy

At the Council meeting on 16 February, Council resolved to adopt the Cradle Coast Authority Regional Waste Management Strategy. The Cradle Coast Waste Management Group, a committee of the Cradle Coast Authority, is responsible for the implementation of the strategy. Devonport City Council is represented on this committee by Mr Matthew Atkins, Assistant General Manager, Technical and Finance.
