What is Community Safety?

Community safety is not just about the level of crime in our community.  It's also about how people feel in our community and there are many factors that affect this.   To improve community safety all sections of our community need to work together to create a safer environment for people to work, live and play in.   To promote community safety it is important to build partnerships between the police, government agencies, local councils, community organisations and individuals.
