Searching the Database

  • All finalised interments at Mersey Vale Memorial Park are recorded in a database and may be looked up using the above search option.
  • Particulars available about a deceased person are the date of burial, given names and surname.
  • From this information it is possible to find the location of a deceased person's grave or plot.
  • By using the map link the selected plot can be viewed on the screen or printed out.
  • This can be used together with the attached site map to find a specific plot at the cemetery.

Plaque Images

Digital images of grave plaques can be placed on the plot records of people interred at Mersey Vale Memorial Park. Once a plaque image is put on the web site it can be viewed by going into the specific plot record via the search option. Digital photos of plaques at the Mersey Vale Memorial Park cemetery can be e-mailed as file attachments to: Please put "Plaque Image" in the subject heading and include your name and address in the body of the e-mail.

Profiles

A Profile is like a mini biography or autobiography that is put on the plot record of a person once they have passed away. Profile information can be prepared easily using the attached Profile form:

The Profile form may be completed by people while they are alive or by family or friends after a loved one has passed away.

Completing a Profile for a loved one

Profile information should be submitted to Council in digital format (eg e-mail, CD, DVD, floppy disc). In the case of e-mail the address to send the file to is: The e-mail should be titled "Mersey Vale Cemetery Web Site - Profile" and be marked "Attention - Community Services Officer".

Completing your own Profile

If you complete a Profile for yourself this can be published posthumously on your plot record on our web site. To do this you should leave the appropriate Profile information together with instructions for it to be passed on to the Devonport City Council (marked Attention - Community Services Officer) with your will/legal papers. Profile information needs to be submitted to Council in digital format (eg e-mail, CD, DVD, floppy disc) along with the appropriate signed hard copy form.

"My Reflections"

"My Reflections" is a free style written narrative about one's impressions, feelings or thoughts. These documents are submitted to Council posthumously and put on a person's plot record. For more information about submitting a "My Reflections" piece please see the attached "My Reflections" form.
