Street Sweeping
A weekly kerbside collection service is provided within the Devonport Municipality. No collection service is provided on Christmas Day, New Years Day and Good Friday. Collections for these days will be made on the day prior, with additional hours worked as required to complete the routes. Changes to normal collection services are advertised close to the day.
Wheelie bins are to be placed at the kerbside the night prior. Pick up is between 5am and 4:30pm. Bins should be returned to your property as soon as possible after collection to avoid vandalism and theft.
Property owners are responsible for purchasing their own wheelie bins. As wheelie bins are privately owned, Council is not responsible for replacement or maintenance of wheelie bins.
Waste Management Collection Services for People with Disabilities form
A daily kerbside collection service is provided for commercial properties within the Devonport Municipality. No collection service is provided on Christmas Day, New Years Day and Good Friday.
Devonport City Council promotes recycling and waste minimisation. A fortnightly kerbside service is provided to all residential properties to enable residence to recycle. This service is contracted to Veolia Waste Management. The contract is managed by Dulverton Waste Management on behalf of the north-west councils. Residents are provided with a wheelie bin (with a yellow lid).

Veolia has expanded its Recycling Education program and has Education Officers Robert Wise and Rachel Berechree providing presentations to various schools and community groups accross the State. Robert and Rachel's efforts are aimed at educating the next generation of recyclers and reiterating the message to the community. Veolia hopes to achieve a reduction in contamination and create a new wave of recycling advocates.

Council regularly removes the build up of litter and road debris from kerb & channel, gully pits and commercial business areas to ensure the effective operation of drains and an acceptable level of visual amenity.
