Water Carriers are those that supply the general public with potable water for domestic use.
Under the Public Health Act 1997 all water carriers must be registered with a Council.
We maintain a list of those that are registered with Devonport City Council.
To become registered with Devonport City Council you will need to apply and have your vehicle and water source approved by the Council’s Environmental Health Department and complete the Water Carrier Registration Application Form(DOC, 35KB).
For specific obligations of commercial water carriers, further information can be obtained from the Tasmanian Drinking Water Quality Guidelines, or Devonport City Council on 03 6424 0511.
