First Port of Call: Photographs from the Robinson Collection

First-Port-of-Call.jpg

Photographer Bert Robinson established his photographic studio in Devonport in 1927, and in 1928 was commissioned by the Mersey Marine Board to photograph the Port of Devonport.

The Robinson Photographic Studio would continue to do so for several decades, capturing a burgeoning period during the 20th century when imports and exports from Devonport surpassed Tasmania's other ports combined.
